- Die Weltproduktion liegt bei circa 215 Mio.t Salz pro Jahr.
- In Europa wird hiervon gut ein Drittel produziert.
- Von den 14 Mio.t Salz aus deutscher Produktion entfallen
- 3 Prozent auf Speisesalz
- 5 Prozent auf Gewerbesalz
- 12 Prozent auf Auftausalz
- 80 Prozent auf Industriesalz für die Elektrolyse.
